Meet the Team

  • Craig Calcott

    Craig has extensive experience in a wide range of conditions. He has worked internationally with both professional and amateur sports teams and has a special interest in treating spinal and shoulder injuries. Craig is also fully qualified in acupuncture and dry needling. ’

  • Matthew Brettkelly

    Matt has over 30 years of experience in treating complex injuries. Matt is the Physio for the Darfield Rugby Club and has a special interest in multisport and mountain biking.

  • Jennifer Hodgins

    Jennifer graduated in 2014 and since then has gained experience working in the UK, Ireland and New Zealand. In 2016 she completed her Masters in Sport and Exercise Medicine. Jennifer has worked with a wide variety of individual sport athletes and team sport athletes – from semi-professionals to weekend warriors. She is passionate about keeping people in all walks of life active and helping them manage their injuries, so that they can continue with their sports and daily activities. On the weekend Jennifer enjoys getting outdoors, whether that is going for a swim, getting up the hills for a hike in summer, the mountain for skiing in winter, or just getting out for a run with her dog.

  • Rachael Johns

    Rachael is a graduate from Auckland University of Technology and is excited to work with the wide range of clients we see at Darfield Physio. She is particularly interested in chronic pain and enjoys being able to keep people fit and moving. Rachael has an extensive background in dairy farming so she is passionate about preventative rehabilitation for our rural workers. In her spare time Rachael is an avid hiker with her dog, and enjoys a social hit of tennis or squash.
